How it works

From a good idea
to a useful phone call.

Choose what you want the agent to do. Give it your approved information. Test the next steps your customers and team will rely on.

One clear decision at a time

Start with the job.

  1. Choose your service

Receptionist answers incoming calls. Sales, Workforce and Engage place outbound calls for specific purposes. See the price and usage model before committing.

  2. Set up your business

Add your company details once. Review your knowledge, voice and the information your chosen workflow needs.

  3. Connect the phone path

Choose a Vocapable-managed US local number for incoming receptionist calls, or connect your own verified Twilio account. Outbound campaigns use your own Twilio account; Receptionist can be added alongside an outbound plan. Configure the supported number, calling policy and fallback for the service you selected. Get a supported US local business number without setting up your own Twilio account. Search by city, state or area code during paid setup; actual inventory, the number quote, accepted billing/funding and call qualification determine activation.

  4. Review and launch

Try representative conversations, verify action results and publish your approved setup when the required checks pass.

Make your knowledge useful

Let setup do more of the work.

Guided setup brings your business information into a draft you can review, with questions relevant to the service you selected.

Start from what you already know

Add your business information or use supported website-assisted suggestions. Review the source and wording before saving an answer.

Check the facts in small sections

Review services, hours, FAQs and instructions piece by piece. Missing or uncertain information should be easy to correct.

Keep your choices

Your selected service and number path should carry into the wizard so you can focus on the remaining questions.

Before you decide

A few useful answers.

What happens after I choose a service?

Browser preview: verify your email and review your business information, then try your receptionist through your browser microphone for up to 120 seconds. No card, phone number or Twilio account is needed for this preview. Your reviewed setup stays saved if you continue. Free BYO Twilio Receptionist: 25 inbound AI calls and 75 AI minutes per month, whichever is reached first. Up to five AI minutes per call, a 30-second minimum per answered call, and one simultaneous AI call on shared capacity. Bring your own verified Twilio account and number; you pay Twilio separately. No Vocapable subscription fee, included phone number, or automatic paid overage. AI answering stops at the allowance; configure your fallback before going live. Outbound Launch: No monthly platform fee. $0.05 per AI minute plus $0.005 per outbound attempt. Settled prepaid credit is required before dialing. Bring your own verified Twilio account and number; your phone and carrier charges are separate. One simultaneous outbound call on shared capacity, with a ten-minute maximum and a 30-second billing minimum per connected call. Contact permissions and call checks apply. For Receptionist, add your business and review its knowledge, choose services, then review the exact price and applicable terms before payment. For a paid subscription, payment is followed by number selection or connection and the required real call checks. Existing accepted subscriptions retain their agreed terms. Outbound services retain their own setup and calling requirements.

How long does live setup take?

It depends on your number, business information and the calling requirements for your workflow. Activation follows the entitlement, funding where required, phone and service checks for your selected offer.

Can I change the agent later?

You can revisit business knowledge, voice and call handling. Changes to a live agent should be reviewed and published through the product’s supported controls.
