Our calculation method
Total cost = subscription + AI usage + attempt fees + phone-number rental + carrier usage + required extras. The table deliberately shows a subtotal because a destination-specific carrier quote is missing. A subtotal is not the amount of the final invoice.
For Vocapable Launch, use AI minutes × $0.05 + attempts × $0.005. For the subscription plans, add the chosen workload’s monthly base to AI minutes × $0.05 and attempts × $0.005. Existing accepted subscriptions keep their terms. No volume or three-year discount is assumed.
Apply Launch’s 30-second minimum to each connected call before adding its billable AI seconds. Our examples already use billable minutes. The usage estimate retains fractions of a cent; prepaid deductions settle whole cents against cumulative usage, so a single call’s visible balance change need not equal its exact fractional-cent estimate.
Vapi’s example combines $0.05 hosting with its displayed transcription ($0.0095–$0.0099), model ($0.0077–$0.0452) and voice ($0.0146–$0.0238) rates per minute. This produces $0.0818–$0.1289 per minute before transport, support and extras. These are displayed component ranges, not measured invoice rates for your calls.
Retell’s $0.07–$0.31 range comes from its pricing page and needs a selected configuration. For Bland, we compare the published Start and Build platform-plus-AI totals and show the lower one, subject to limits. Synthflow’s annual entry commitment is kept annual; we do not present it as a cancellable monthly subscription.
Plivo and Telnyx belong on a cheapest-calling shortlist. Plivo’s main card advertises $0.03/AI minute excluding telephony, while its official comparison quotes $0.04 all-inclusive. The table preserves the main-card AI component as provisional. Combining that component with its US local outbound $0.0115/minute and $0.50/month number would give $42 for 1,000 minutes before extras, only if those tariffs apply together. Obtain confirmation instead of treating that calculation as an accepted quote.
Telnyx’s $0.05 voice engine excludes model tokens and phone service. Its engine rounds each connected call to 60-second increments; our engine-only example assumes whole-minute connected calls. Published outbound SIP starts at $0.005/minute, local number rental at $1/month, and standalone Voice API at another $0.002/minute where used. Confirm the selected route’s components so the estimate neither omits a fee nor counts a bundled fee twice. Its actual total can be lower than Vocapable’s.
We have not priced implementation labor, forecast answer rates, used introductory credits to reduce ongoing costs, or assigned a dollar value to hypothetical sales. Check the vendor’s actual order before purchase.
