Every answer comes from the business information you approve during setup. The receptionist does not guess at prices, areas or policies you have not given it.
- Do you come out at night or on weekends?
- The receptionist answers with the after-hours policy you approve: whether you dispatch after hours, which emergencies qualify, and how the after-hours fee is explained. If you do not offer night service, it says so and captures the request for the morning.
- How much does it cost to replace a water heater?
- It states only what you have approved. Many plumbers approve a sentence such as "estimates are free and quoted on site" or a published starting price for a standard tank. It never invents a figure and never promises a total.
- Do you service my area?
- The receptionist checks the towns and zip codes you listed. Inside the area it continues with the request; outside it tells the caller plainly and, if you want, suggests they leave a message anyway.
- Can someone come today?
- It does not promise a time. It records the problem, the address and the caller’s availability, tells the caller who will confirm, and your dispatcher offers a slot from the schedule your team controls.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- If you approve your license number and insurance statement, the receptionist reads them to the caller. Otherwise it takes the question for the office.
- Do you install tankless units, or work on well pumps?
- It answers from the services list you approve, including the work you do not take. A clear "we do not service well pumps, but here is what we do" saves the caller and your crew a wasted trip.
