Vocapable Managed Business Number Offer
Version: managed-us-local-2026-10-09-v2 Status: Published
This elective add-on applies to the company and managed number you select. Your authorized company owner accepts this exact text in product. Your selection is not a completed number purchase or proof that its answering service is live. The subscription, settled prepaid funding, carrier verification and service checks below must pass. Existing accepted purchases keep their recorded terms.
1. Your business number and answering service
Capstra Labs, LLC, doing business as Vocapable, arranges and manages a supported US local voice number in a carrier subaccount bound to your company. You do not need a Twilio account for this number. Search by city, state or area code; availability and the displayed number quote determine what can be purchased. Carrier availability, verification and continued funding remain prerequisites.
You need an active paid subscription with Receptionist coverage and sufficient settled prepaid credit. Workforce, Sales and other products can be purchased together with Receptionist. An outbound-only product does not add Receptionist or authorize outbound calling through this managed-number offer. Each extra managed number has its own selection, accepted price and rental. A number does not add agents or concurrent AI capacity.
The supported managed answering route includes your configured AI receptionist, a bounded waiting queue for its available AI capacity, model-free overflow and closed-hours handling, optional consented voicemail, and one eligible, priced US telephone transfer destination. Queue position comes from the current queue; no estimated wait or callback is promised unless the corresponding capability is actually available and configured. The caller can use the available queue choices to request the supported transfer or leave a message. Waiting and transfers stay inside the original funded call limit.
Messages, support tickets, opt-out recording, permitted business webhooks and hangup depend on your configured and verified agent capabilities. Saving a configuration is not proof of publication or successful execution.
This election does not include unlimited waiting or call duration, conferencing, multiple simultaneous transfer destinations, browser/SIP transfer legs, SMS, managed bulk outbound campaigns, general call recording, international or toll-free number rental, number porting, or emergency calling. Those require their own supported implementation, pricing and qualification. Never rely on this number for emergency service.
2. Prices and separate AI usage
All prices are in US dollars. Managed carrier usage is charged at two times the authenticated supplier cost attributable to your service, under the supported scope above. Vocapable’s subscription and AI charges are separate.
| Item | Your charge | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Each US local number rental period | 2× the authenticated account-specific monthly supplier base rate, rounded up to a whole cent, within your accepted rental ceiling | Shown before number acquisition; the currently reviewed $1.15 supplier base produces a ceiling of $2.30 |
| Incoming parent and eligible transfer connections | 2× their authenticated reported carrier connectivity cost | Each actual carrier leg is measured separately, including funded queue, ringing, human conversation and voicemail time |
| Supported Media Streams, voicemail recording and temporary carrier storage | 2× the authenticated carrier cost allocated to your company | Reported separately from AI use; included in the funded carrier envelope |
| AI conversation | Your accepted plan’s AI rate and applicable volume pricing | Actual authorized AI-stream use, with the existing 30-second minimum when positive AI usage occurs |
Twilio can round or price individual products according to its own billing rules. We do not invent a second per-minute rounding rule for cost-based carrier settlement. The supported carrier components are combined for a finalized call, multiplied by two and rounded up once to a whole cent. Number rental rounds once per accepted period. Account-level ancillary costs are allocated by a recorded, conserved policy using authenticated company-account evidence; that allocation is not represented as a carrier-issued invoice for an individual call.
Supplier prices can arrive after hangup. A cost still awaiting attributable evidence remains under confirmation with its unused reservation held; it does not become zero and does not authorize a duplicate charge. Supplier corrections are reconciled and reviewed. Your recorded accepted terms and original funding limit govern any correction, rather than an unlimited retrospective debit. Taxes and any separately disclosed charges remain governed by your agreements; this offer makes no tax exemption or all-in price promise.
For illustration, five parent minutes at supplier $0.0085/minute, three transfer minutes at $0.014/minute and two Media Stream minutes at $0.0044/minute total $0.0933 of supplier cost. Twice that amount rounds to $0.19 carrier usage. Two positive AI minutes at a $0.13/minute plan rate add $0.26, for $0.45 usage, before separate subscription, number rental and applicable taxes. Actual supplier reporting and your accepted AI plan determine the real charge.
Queue-only, voicemail-only, closed-hours and human-only time incur supported carrier costs but no additional AI minutes when no AI stream runs. Human conversation after an AI stream ends is not additional AI time. There is no new per-answered-call fee under this election.
Numbers on your own BYO Twilio account incur no managed carrier rental or managed carrier-usage charge from Vocapable. Your carrier bills that account directly. Vocapable subscription and authorized AI usage still apply. Ownership is resolved for each actual number and account, so a company can have both managed and BYO numbers without double carrier billing.
3. Subscription, prepaid credit and call limits
The subscription payment happens before first-time agent setup. Buying the subscription does not mean a number has already been purchased. You separately review the chosen number, rental quote and prepaid funding required to activate managed calling. A successful payment settlement is required; a browser success screen or pending payment is not available credit.
Before purchasing a number or answering a managed call, Vocapable reserves the supported worst-case exposure from settled prepaid credit. The carrier reserve covers the original parent limit, permitted transfer and voicemail/stream use; the AI reserve is separate. Simultaneous calls cannot spend the same credit. Final supported usage is captured once and unused funds are released only after the required evidence is complete. Prepaid managed usage is not billed again through a postpaid meter.
Every call retains one original deadline and financial envelope. The supported parent ceiling is at most 60 minutes, with your configured and qualified limit potentially shorter. Waiting has its own shorter configured limit and cannot extend the parent. Transfer ringing is bounded to 5–30 seconds. Voicemail is at most five minutes and ends within the remaining parent time. A transfer, retry, runtime restart or queue poll cannot restart these limits.
If AI capacity is unavailable, only the already funded supported model-free choices can run. An unfunded call is not kept connected for free. New service can be refused or an existing call ended when its original limit is reached or its funding cannot safely authorize the operation. Previously consumed usage remains accounted for after a payment reversal; new commitments stop if credit is insufficient. Automatic top-ups require your explicit available in-product authorization; a low-balance notice alone cannot charge your card.
4. Rental periods, renewal and cancellation
The first rental period starts when the funded acquisition is dispatched to the carrier and ends at the same UTC time on the corresponding day next calendar month. A shorter month clamps the anniversary to its last day; later periods follow that recorded anniversary. This is a retail period, not a claim that the carrier invoices the resource with the same period identifier.
The disclosed rental ceiling is reserved before purchase. The authenticated current monthly base rate is checked before acquisition dispatch; twice that rate is charged only after the exact acquired number is confirmed. Unused rental credit is released. A provider rate above the accepted ceiling blocks purchase instead of creating a higher charge. Setup and service checks may continue after the period starts. A refused or canceled purchase releases its unused reservation. An uncertain provider outcome stays under confirmation and is never purchased again just because the browser retried.
An authorized next period may be reserved during the three days before renewal within its reviewed, accepted supplier-cost-based rental ceiling. Capture requires the period to have started and authenticated proof that the same number still exists, using a fresh authenticated monthly base rate. A charge above the accepted ceiling needs a supported new acceptance. Insufficient funding or expired authorization stops new commitments and can result in release at the boundary. A committed funded renewal is not erased by later configuration changes.
An unstarted selection can be canceled in setup. A dispatched acquisition must first resolve its outcome. For an acquired number, requesting release stops new admissions and waits for existing calls before fenced carrier deletion. Release must be confirmed; a button click is not carrier absence. Contact support before releasing a number you intend to keep or port. Recovery of a released number is not guaranteed. Captured periods are not automatically prorated or refunded; existing express refund rights remain. Releasing a number does not cancel the platform subscription, and canceling a subscription is not proof of carrier release. Unresolved supplier liabilities remain reconciled.
5. Voicemail, evidence and retention
Your greeting and caller-consent flow apply before voicemail recording. A caller who declines is not recorded. General AI/human call recording is outside this offer. Vocapable imports a verified private platform copy before attempting carrier-copy deletion. Platform voicemail expiry metadata is currently 90 days from completion, subject to earlier authorized deletion and existing retention controls. Carrier cleanup targets 24 hours and confirms absence; failures remain visible for recovery. A target is not a guarantee that deletion already happened. Do not use this service as your only permanent archive.
6. Agreements and your election
This is the managed-production election contemplated by Platform Test Calls Addendum Section 3.1. For the company-owned managed acquisitions accepted under this version, its provisioning, prepaid funding and carrier pricing provisions supplement the Production Services Order and replace inconsistent BYO-only carrier-payment descriptions in that Order or MSA Section 6.1. It grants no right to use platform test numbers for production or another company’s assets.
The Telecom Compliance Addendum, DPA, MSA, AUP and other applicable terms remain in force. This offer creates no outbound-consent waiver, certification or service guarantee. A company staying on BYO need not accept this election just to keep its existing service. Only a current authorized company owner accepts the exact published text; Vocapable retains its version/hash, actor, time and selected request. Retries preserve that election. Different prices or unsupported features need a new supported, accepted offer. Saved settings cannot expand it.
